I’m posting this on behalf of a friend. He wants to trade his techno E36 M3/2/5 for an e30 + cash, preferably manual, in good mechanical condition. Also willing to do a straight sale.

Here are the details on the car:

1999 Techno Violet 2 door M3

Motor and Drive-train: New engine installed on 10/13/2011. Engine had 59k miles with documents. I have the VIN from the motor, it can be carfaxed to show it has under 60k miles. The engine was also fully rebuilt with new pistons, piston rings, head gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pump nut fix, rod bearings, all seals and gaskets replaced. I have all documents only 1k miles on the motor.

Up for sale is my mint condition 1992 325i convertable. It’s stick shift with 118.000 original miles. Paint is original granitsilber paintjob it is in extremly good condition exept for one rock chip and a little scratch on the hoods corner. Top is original and in great shape not faded and rear plastic window is in well condition also. Interior is in extremly good condition grey leather interior is original with no rips at all or stains, dash is original well kept and with NO cracks at all. power everything including heated seats that work perfect, all gauges inside work including the odometer, only thing is the obc light went out easy $20 dollor fix from dealer. everything on the car is stock exept for the radio and suspension it has IE stage 3 springs with kyb shocks and struts, still have original springs and radio. It sits on original 14" bbs wheels. The headlights are replaced with depo hella lenses with 8k hid on lows and fogs with matching hyper white city lights. im the 2nd owner car is very tooken care of, 1st owner was a very nice older oriental lady.

This car has a REBUILT Title due to the car being sold at a Sheriff Auction. There has been no prior repairs to the car. All recent repairs are by me and i am a mechanic and everything is rock solid on this car i assure you.

I have a 2001 Lexus IS300 E Shift in MSM with black leather/suede I’m wanting to trade for a 5 speed E36 Sedan + cash. Obviously how much cash depends on what you are looking to trade. Car details are below. Please shoot me a PM or simply reply to this thread. Really looking for a project that needs some help with cash on top.

Only "problems" with the car is a crack in the windshield just above the rear view mirror, and a blemished/cracked rear bumper from my wife backing into a newly planted tree a few weeks ago. Other than that the car has the typical things you’d expect to see on a 10 year old 100k+ mile car…minor dings and imperfections in the paint. I’d definitely get the bumper replaced although its only cosmetic and doesn’t affect anything else.

My local asking price is right at $7,500 for cash outright if that gives any indication of how much cash I’d be looking for on top of your trade.

Mileage: Roughly 139k on body and ~90-100k on motor/trans
Price: 14.5k (reduced from 15.5k)
(I can drop the price 2k if buyer comes with their own wheels. Another 1k if buyer does not want seats)

Considering moving to another project if I can get the asking price for the car.

I purchased the car in March of this year and have done everything to it minus the motor swap. Previous owner is also a forum member (previous owners fs ad: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=201690). I have receipts dating back to the original owner of the car. I’m a car nut which is one of the reasons for the sale. I intended on purchasing a swapped car and keeping it as a daily but wound up modding her a little too much.

The car itself has zero visible body rust. The oil was just changed with castrol 10w60 TWS. TC Kline suspension has less then ~5k miles. Other maintenance ie. brakes, brake flush, coolant flush, trans fluid, diff fluid has been changed within the past few months.

I understand I’m fairly new on the forum but you can find me under the same screen name on m3forum, audizine, euroaddiction, etc (if you really want to know pm me).

I’m somewhat flexible on price if you want parts removed to adjust price. I’m firm on my asking price as is considering the modifications done on the car so far (all within 8 months). Please feel free to post up any messages here so I don’t have to repeat for anyone else on anything I might’ve missed. You can find pretty much everything I’ve done to the car in my project thread:
