-this motor put down 188whp when it was in JGOOD’s car. VERY HEALTHY.
-bimmerworld silicon intake
-fresh plugs and boots
-custom cia that pulls air from behind the lower valance
-g260 trans (and i have spare thatll go too)

***this is the only bad part of the car***
there are 2-3 dings, paint chips, and 1 dent in passenger quarter (easy place to get to for fixing). This car needs paint and a new front valance. Otherwise, its pretty amazing.
Runs awsome, its quick and would be much quicker with different gearing. Its about as reliable as you can get. Handles pretty damn well but its still soft enough to use a street car. I wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere. The interior is one of a kind and LIGHT WEIGHT. No floor tar in this car, its all been stripped. All the trunk interior trim is gone also in the name of weight, but I have pretty much all of it still in storage. Car has seen ONE autocross since its been put together and ive put a few hundred miles on it around town. Im in the process of buying a house so if everything gets lined up and I end up not needing extra cash, Ill keep this car. Im pretty firm with the price.. Ill snap more pics tonight.
****there is NO RUST on this car anywhere. came from VA.. thats why i bought it. anyone that knows me will tell you that i HATE rust****
Im looking for $5k
I also have a very nice S52 with 102k miles that can be negotiated for extra. Itd basically be a direct swap with a software change in the ecu.

FS: A pair of E36s – 97 M3 and 98 323is

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

This was posted on Bimmerforum at 05-15-2012 06:30 PM

The day has arrived in which these both need sold. The 1997 BMW M3 was driven by my dad who no longer prefers to drive it due to a leg surgery that makes it difficult and painful to drive. Unfortunate, but at least he has good taste in cars. The 1998 BMW 323is was mine and I have moved on to a pair of GTIs (MKV and MKii).

Anyway, neither are flawless and both have their issues. There’s no need to hide anything since we are all a community here, so we can all be honest, right?

The M3 stats:
black exterior/black leather interior
5 Speed manual
149,997 miles on odo. (though I’m trying to convince my dad to be the one to kick it over 150k)
4 door
18" wheels
aftermarket stereo came from previous owner and sounds good
electric front seats
runs strong and shifts great
a/c blows cold
computer works except for outside temp.
euro turn signals
momo shifter

Problems:
shakes when braking hard, though is probably just an alignment issue
headliner sags from just past the sunroof to the rear of the car
the front windows don’t roll down
clear coat issue on the hood, sunroof, and trunk
drivers side door molding is gone

The 323is stats:
alpine white exterior/black leather interior
4 speed automatic
154,309 miles
2 door
17" BMW M wheels
stock radio (cassette and also the 6 cd changer) with hi-fi option
heated front seats
runs strong
a/c blows cold
computer doesn’t have as many options as M3, but works except for the outside temp

Problems:
shakes when braking hard, though is probably just an alignment issue
headliner sags in rear and very slightly in front left corner
the drivers side front window doesn’t roll down
headliner came off of sunroof
kidney grills need painted (or have the paint removed)
remote doesn’t have keychain hole, thus a zip tie and duct tape have been used
suspension is lower than preferred (by previous owner)
had a wreck and door was replaced which explains why tint on drivers door is screwed up

Links to pictures:
M3 – http://s1174.photobucket.com/albums/…97%20BMW%20M3/
323is – http://s1174.photobucket.com/albums/…20BMW%20323is/

Now for the prices. I know they aren’t perfect or "very good" by KBB standards. The following prices are what I would like to get:
M3 – $5500/o.b.o.
323is – $4000/o.b.o.
A deal could be made if you want both. haha.
These are preferred prices and are listed as "o.b.o." with some room for other possibilities. Just make an offer. Worst I could say is no and we could both go on with our day.

Thanks for reading and feel free to email me with questions or offers!

CA: E36 M3 ’98 Vert 108k miles

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

This was posted on Bimmerforum at 05-15-2012 02:41 AM

Hi guys,

Picked up a ’98 vert auto with 108k miles and a CLEAN title the other day. I have this up as a parts car but all it really needs is a new motor. It’s in great condition, and I’m just wondering if anyone out there would want the whole car before I part it out so they can just drop a new S50/S52 in it.

Car details:

2 owner car, previous owners had it for 10 years

Soft top is in like-new condition, needs to be cleaned and have the plastic window replaced.
Wheels are mint on the left side, right side rims have a bit of curb rash.
Interior is in good condition, luxury seats have normal wear and tear. Rear right side seat has a large tear in the corner.
Door panels are in good condition.
Front end is in great condition, normal rock chips etc. Front bumper has fog lights. One of the kidney grills is a bit cracked.
Driver side door has some scratches on it.
Rear bumper + trunk are in good condition.
Engine needs a rebuild, most of the parts are still good.
Automatic transmission is still good, shifts smooth.
Differential is fine as well.
Front/rear suspension is in great condition.

$4800 OBO
