1979 911 SC sunroof coupe. Black/black turbo look

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

This was posted on Pelican Parts at 05-17-2012 07:50 PM

Sometime before my friend bought it, this car had steel Turbo flares butt-welded on and a (OE) Turbo tail added. It got 17″ chromed C2 Turbo wheels. It also had major components of the a/c removed.

Odometer shows 49K miles. There is no paperwork to document the miles. The dealer that sold it to my friend said the engine was rebuilt, and it does have the Carrera tensioner upgrade. Recent smog test numbers show low HC, so I’m thinking rings & valve guides are good.

But the car runs very well, shifts very well, and doesn’t drip any fluids.

The chassis looks to be straight, but the door gaps are a bit large. Hood gap is larger on driver’s side than passenger’s. Interior is very nice except for a partial recover of the dash top. Power windows and sunroof work just fine. Power mirror on passenger side works, driver’s side does not.

Which brings us to the paint. It’s shiny, for the most part, and black was the original color. But this was a glass (and seal) in repaint. A 15-footer, I’d say.

So, it’s got good bones. A cosmetic fixer. Keep it as a Turbo look tribute or go RSR or even take it back to stock with narrow fenders and surgery on the quarters.

Whichever way you want to go, you won’t find a much better starting point than this SC.

Asking $11,400. Again, not my car; selling for a friend. Can help arrange local PPI and will assist in shipping.

’94 BMW525i For Sale

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

This was posted on Pelican Parts at 05-16-2012 06:08 AM

I have a ’94 525i with five speed, 139K miles, dark green in color, for sale. First, the pros:
- Lemforder seven series control arms (right was replaced with
original five series after small accident)
- engine and trans. in very good condition (no fluid usage)
- tires in good shape
- Drives very well
- almost new radiator and water pump

Cons include:
- half of chrome strip around windshield missing
- plastic bodywork dings on rear of car
- clutch makes some noise when depressed, but works fine
- driver’s seat motor won’t allow reclining
- interior and exterior of car show wear and dings

All in all, a pretty good car, and with some TLC, will easily go another 100k miles. I’m asking $1,500, and the car is in Smithfield, NC. Email for pictures if you’re interested. Thanks,

Don Ivey

2002 Supercharged M3 SMG. 66k miles

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

This was posted on e46fanatics at 05-16-2012 12:43 AM

Hello Guys.

The time has come to sell my car and invest in a business opportunity.

Here is a list of specs and modifications on the vehicle.

I should also note I recently spent about 8k on parts/labor on the clutch, flywheel, new supercharger setup, and tires. Overall I think I have 25k into it or so, I have most of the receipts.

Engine:
-Active Autowerke stage 3 s/c/ setup (largest rotrex out, c38-91 trim, 75mm pulley, injectors, alpha-n, chip, pulleys… water/alcohol injection…) less than 500 miles on new s/c.
-larger cooler for supercharger than factory, 13row instead of 10 row
-larger air k/n filter than factory
-Rogue performance engine mounts
-Headers, mid section, remus muffler (nice flow not too loud)

Gearbox:
-Spec stage 2 carbon ceramic clutch (better than hpf feramic which I had before)(less than 1000 miles)
-New factory flywheel (less than 1000 miles)
-New driveshaft guibo
-Rogue performance transmission mounts

Suspension:
-T.C. Kline double adjustable track coilovers (550/650 rates I think, nice performance for the street)
-UUC rear trailing bushings
-rear spherical upper shock mounts
-rear adjustable lower control arms by Turner iirc
-Front camber plates with spherical bearing

Wheels/Tires:
-Iforged track edition TE-16 19″ all around (perfect fitment for lowered stance)
-Bridgestone Potenza 245/275 19″ (good tread life, about 60% left all around)

Brakes:
-UUC motorsport 4 wheel BBK, 355mm front, and 330mm rear, slotted rotors, great brake setup, excellent pad life

Interior:
-Innovative Motorsports digital boost/vacuum gauge concealed in center ashtray
-Innovative Motorsports digital Air/Fuel ratio meter in center ashtray (can connect to p.c. to log as well)
-Analog vacuum/boost gauge located on center steering column
-Carbon Fiber shift paddles, larger than stock
-Carbon Fiber steering wheel insert

Exterior:
-Rear bumper lower carbon fiber diffuser
-Front bumper lower carbon fiber splitters CSL style
-Tint on side and rear windows
-Professionally Tinted rear L.E.D. tail lights

Im pretty sure that is all of the modifications.
The car has been serviced above bmw spec, oil changes every 2500-3500 miles, less if I have time, and the higher end when I was busy. New filter and oil every time. It has also had its valves adjusted a couple thousand miles agom so you are good there for quite a long time as well.

Any questions please ask, and if your local and serious, perhaps youd like to arrange a viewing. Im in the Beverly Hills area.

$29,000

Thanks for looking.

’79 SC Targa f/s

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

This was posted on Pelican Parts at 05-15-2012 03:53 PM

Red/Black leather. A/C, cruise, electric window lifts. Never hit, repainted or driven in winter; warm, dry storage in the house garage in the winter. All service by either Stoddard or Steinel. The original radio ate my favorite tape so I had Steinel put in a Panasonic CD player. It has had the chain tensioner upgrade. Clutch replaced maybe 5000 miles ago, tires and brakes approx 1000 miles ago. Folding top insert rebuilt 2 years ago. Fresh lube, etc. Odometer reading is 100,800 miles.

My wife bought this car around 1985 from the original owner, a cardiologist. She’s a doc as well. We’ve adult-driven it and enjoyed it, maintained it properly but didn’t baby it. It’s not a Parade concours car because we’re not into that. In the early days we DE’d and autox’d a little so it has eye-bolts for 5 point belts. Used those maybe a half-dozen times because it’s more fun just to get in and go somewhere.

Asking $18,700, we’re in NE Ohio.

Will try to attach some pix, will put more.

Thanks for looking, Bill
