Beautiful rust free 1990 325ix FS

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

This was posted on Bimmerforum at 02-09-2012 09:44 PM

I have a beautiful 1990 325ix 5 speed for sale in southwestern MI. It is rust free diamond black metallic exterior with the Zender body kit and black leather interior. The body and drive-line have 187k and the motor has 20k on it. I bought the car in May with a blown motor. According to the previous owner he drove the car with low oil pressure and the motor started knocking. I replaced the motor with one I personally removed from a junkyard with only 20k on it. I replaced the clutch, shifter bushings and axle boots, a front left inner and outer tie rod as well as oil pan gasket, rear main seal and transmission seals. I also undercoated the car including the trans tunnel and shock towers while the motor and trans were out. It has 4 new Dunlop Direzza Dp101 tires with less than 1000 miles on them. It also has a nice JVC CD player with AUX out for MP3 player. The car runs and drives great, shifts with no problems and the all wheel drive system works flawlessly. The interior and exterior look amazing with only a small rip in the drivers seat leather, but the vehicle was well cared for, and it shows. I had planned on keeping the car but have been out of work and I need the money. I am asking $4000 obo. These cars are becoming quite rare, especially in this condition and I will be sad to see it go. I almost forgot: no cracks in dash Follow this link for pictures: www.photobucket.com/325ixfs

seattle: ready to run 89 325ix 5 speed

FIRST OF ALL IF YOU THINK YOU CAN FIX THIS CAR AND NEED EXTRA MONEY PM ME, DUE TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES BELOW YOU WILL GET NO MONEY UNTILL THE CAR IS FINISHED.

long story short i have paid to many mechanics to not finish this job, Im at ends with the car. i really love it and would love to keep it, but i have paid 3 mechanics to fix it and none of them have fixed it. I have spent upwords of $3000 for all unfinished work, nothing is stopping the car from being able to run except the ability of the mechanics.

I will partial trade for a nice well sorted 325IS i have up to $4000 to add

the good
•AWD works perfectly
•you will get a good condition clean 325ix motor with 170ish on it from lucky hendrickson from the forum
• new water pump, belts, dist cap, oil pan gasket, rear engine seal, spark plugs, air filter and possibly a few other things i am forgetting all brand new and installed on the motor.
•body is a 7/10, pretty damn good, mainly scratches in paint 1 small dent twords the roof. Interior is a 8/10, crack free dash + heated seats.

the bad
•The engine is not in the car, there is no engine in the car you will have to put this engine in your self.

ok now price is negotiable, but i wont give this car away. I paid $600 for the engine and $300 in parts, i am asking $500 AND $1000 for the rest of the car. So $1500 for everything. you will have to pick up the car in issaquah washington.

***PICTURES ARE OLD AND WHEN IT WAS AUTO, IT WAS CONVERTED TO 5 SPEED***

will not part out, dont bother even asking!! if someone does not buy this whole car i will eventually put more money into making it run

hit me up if you want to come take a look, im in issaquah washington my number is 425 444 6509 and my name is Micah

MD:1993 318i, 5sp, $1,500

Monday, February 6th, 2012

This was posted on Bimmerforum at 02-06-2012 06:14 PM

Time to retire the car that started it all for me, 1993 318i, has around 176k miles(have to double check) Morona green or however it it spelled. As far as mechanically the car drives amazing, the motor/trans have no issues what-so-ever. The clutch was replaced on it a few years back and is one of smoothest shifting E36′s I’ve ever driven. The exterior of the vehicle isn’t perfect, it was backed into in a parking lot. I put on my old nose panel and grills from my silver m3 sedan, it has a black hood that the original got replaced with(isn’t much better) The car was also slid into a few years back into the rear, the bumper has a small cut and the trunk lid has a small dent. Interior is decent, drivers seat has a rip, headliner sags. Has a minor water leak I could never pin point that only shows up during monsoon like weather. Needs some TLC or just a great project car. I daily drove this thing every last day of the past Fall semester to college, an 80 mile round trip with NO issues. Buy it for the motor, buy it to fix it up with new exterior bits. Riding on 16” z3 rims and brand new tires on it. Has a wheel wobble at highway speeds, possibly a bent rim or alignment. Cash talks so make an offer if you want to check it out. Only selling because I recently bought a newer 318is to drive to school. I will get pictures up by the end of the week. Thanks
