Hi All,

I am looking for a pre 1976 911 roller or abandoned project that I can build a hot rod from. Some rust would be O.K. California location would be preferred but not necessary. Willing to look at pretty much anything.

FS: Clean 2000 BMW 323Ci coupe 86k miles, $9500 obo-IN

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

This was posted on e46fanatics at 02-02-2012 02:36 PM

Hey guys, I guess I’m new to the forum. I’ve looked here before, but just now signed up today!

For sale: My super clean 2000 BMW 323ci coupe sport pkg with 86,xxx miles! This is my semi-daily driver and half of those miles are highway. Car is black with a tan interior and is a 5 speed manual. I am located in Indiana, 1 hour west of Indianapolis pretty much right along the IL border. Looking to sell, no trades, sorry. Just looking for something cheaper and a little better on gas in the city, but have to start with selling my baby.

The car: Clean car, Smoker free and garaged most of the time. I wash the car about once a week and take very good care of her. I would rate pretty much everything 9/10, minus the suspension, which is 7 or 8/10 (more on that below, no big deal.

Exterior: 9/10. Especially for its age. Paint is very smooth and shiny and has not a single dent anywhere! There is just a small amount of tiny rock chips at the front and a couple small surface scratches on the body. The glass and body panels are all perfect. Underbody is great and was not driven in snow at all by the original owner by the looks.

Interior: 9/10, 8.5/10 if you are pretty anal about it! Seats are like new and there is just a bit of pillar cloth sag, as well as the normal window trim peel thing. I re-glued one a few months ago, the PO did the other one years back. I have yet to fix it. There is also one very small burn in the rear seat from a buddy with his cigar.
Besides that, it has not been smoked in and looks amazing. Floor mats are about 6mo old- OEM

Engine/mechanical: 9/10. I have taken very good care of the car and in October I had it inspected and a full tune up done. New waterpump and thermostat (preventative), pads, belts, and all filters and fluids, minus differential fluid. Cutch grabs well and there is no grinding or anything like that.

The good:
-TWO sets of newer tires. General altimax arctic (German made) with about 400 miles on them or so, and Goodyear Eagle Gt’s with about 2000 miles on them. Like new!
-Tune up and such mentioned above
-Bentley repair manual-like new
-RE CNC aluminum and CF strut tower bar-great shape-ONLY mod.
-new floor mats, as well as a few other small things (bulbs and such)
-Almost $400 worth of bushings and flex disc (see below, no biggie)

The bad:
-Needs aligned after I got new tires. Nobody within an hour drive can do it correctly, but might just be the tires. Slight pull above 40mph because of it.
-pass window regulator will probably go within the next 6mo or so unless it’s never used..still works fine though.
-The suspension is mostly original and somewhat worn out. Had it all inspected and was told that everything was in working shape, but I know better. Because of that, I purchased all new FCABS, RTABS, Diff bushings, and flex disc just in case, as well as new hardware. Control arms are fine luckily!

That’s about it. No major problems of any type, and car runs like a champ! She is ready to go where you want her to.

NOW on to pics!
Most of these are a few days old (yes it keeps on raining)

CT – 1987 sedan 1550$ extras

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

This was posted on r3vlimited at 02-01-2012 09:41 AM

It’s come time to sell my car; I have a love hate relationship for it. I generally don’t have the time to do anything to it as I have a new DD so it just sits with the exception of the occasional drive. It starts up every time but idles high in the cold (I didn’t notice in the summer when I bought it, it idled fine) until it’s warmed up. I work 60 hours a week and go to school at night so my time for this car just can’t exist and I’m tired of daydreaming about fixing it at night….. I would rather sell it to someone who would take care of it and fix it right than someone on craigslist, I had it posted up before(on cragislist) and got nothing but shady people that would just beat on it and destroy it. Feel free to bring a mechanic with you I’m not trying to hide anything if you see something when you come to look at it I’ll adjust the ad accordingly.

Come with UNINSTALLED:
Bilstein sport set
H&R Sport set
New muffler http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll…m=200698446833 (I know eBay blah but it’s just an exhaust to replace the rotted one)
Shifter rebuild kit

The Good:
Clean car very minimal rust, only on the door hinges but also seems like just surface rust
No cracks in the dash all electronics are working fine
Starts up every single time
Has been sitting under a car cover for the most part.
Paint isn’t too bad considering its age.
Can sit all day it never shows signs of overheating or anything
new slave cylinder less than 1000 miles on it

The Bad:
Glove box latch is broken inside, but that just means you get free Maderma and deodorant
356,000 miles
Check engine light comes on intermittently
Needs brakes
High idle until warm (only in cold weather)
Could use some new tires in the back
Rotted out exhaust however the new one should take care of that.
Pretty minor dent on passenger side fender, looks like it can be taken care of pretty easily.
Rear driver side axle needs a new boot after I realized it was torn I had it repacked and now it sits.

Asking 1550$ pretty firm with everything included
My number is 203-306-7788 (I work from 7-7 so please leave a voicemail)

sorry for the pictures but not much has changed since i first got it, i took some yesterday but reformatted my phone when i put a new rom on it like a jackass…. ill take some new ones tomorrow morning

Even with a few scars, it looks pretty good. Just passing along plus i’m partial to Diamantschwartz-metallic

Also, the H&R/Billy stance looks pretty nice.
there’s a link to the build on r3v, so if the owner reads this you’re welcome lol!

FS in MA: 89′ 325i

Monday, January 16th, 2012

This was posted on r3vlimited at 01-16-2012 02:56 PM

A friend of mine is selling his car and I figured I’d post it to see if there was any interest.

"I’m selling my 1989 BMW 325i. It’s a very clean manual transmission car with 152,xxx on it. The car is a blast to drive, the paint looks amazing, and the body is surprisingly solid (only two small areas in the rear with rust). The car is cirrusblau and has a blue cloth interior. The back seat and carpet are both mint, and there are no cracks in the dash. Also, the car has a 3.73 limited slip differential.

There are a few issues with the car though. The car has the steel front bumper but a plastic rear, so I’m assuming the bumper has been replaced at some point. Also, the driver’s seat is pretty rough. The previous-previous owner sat down with a sawzall blade in his back pocket and tore the bottom of the seat. Since then, the base of the seat has worn itself into ruin. The stock radio does not work. Also, it is going to need tires. Lastly, there is a pretty severe exhaust leak somewhere. I know it is cracked right before the cat, so you’re going to want to replace the pipe. Other than that, the car is in great shape. The front driver’s side ball joint and tie rod are shot, but I’m getting them replaced Tuesday.
I hate to see the car go but I already have an M3 and getting a truck would make life a lot easier on me considering I’m getting sick of calling in favors every time I go to buy something. I’d like to get $2500 for the car, but I’m willing to negotiate. Likewise, I’ll humor trade offers for trucks. Nothing newer please, I’m really looking for 78-79 Ford’s and such."

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Onto the pictures: (the car was a little dirty)
